Jack’s Birthday

will-never-be-a-swan:

wrapped-in-shadows:

*he wrapped Roxy’s leash down around his jeans leg so she wouldn’t hurry away, and thankfully she plopped her butt down on the ground and snuffed against the glass, peering at the world outside as he got comfortable*

w-what luck…! *oh god people inside the store. all looking at me. they’re looking at me. no. no. they’re not. focus. focus on katelynn. this is fun.* th-thank you again.

Sitting next to him, she folded her arms in front of her and leaned towards the glass a bit, enjoying the view. The sky was beginning to darken with clouds and she guessed it might snow soon. “It’s no problem. I would have just made you a cake but I can’t cook.” She giggled nervously, completely embarrassed. “I once tried to make tea and I must have forgotten the water on the stove cause I was reading and the pan ended up burning.” She sighed at the memory. “I’m sure my cake would have been a brick or something.”

The server came over with their cake and set down the candles. “Can I get you two anything to drink?” Though her eyes were mostly on Jack, a flirty look on her face.

*he looked up at the pretty blonde woman and his hands, which had been reaching for the menu, froze. oh god. pretty woman. very pretty woman. looking at him like that. his face turns purple and he slowly tries to answer* …s-som… something h-hot p… please…?
