Jack’s Birthday

will-never-be-a-swan:

wrapped-in-shadows:

*they came to a stop outside and he peered in side. it seemed nice enough, certainly bright… he smiles, and looks at her* i-it looks wonderful! …oh! oh uh… roxy… d-do they let dogs in or… *looks around outside for a place to tie her up. good thing he had put a little purple jumper on her before inside the apartment…*

“I’ve never really asked..” She mused, peering inside. “Um, excuse me, we’re here to order but we have a cute little dog. Is it okay?”

The young woman at the counter walked closer so she wasn’t shouting at her from across the room. “Sure. As long as they’re leashed.”

“Okay, thank you!” She looked back over at Jack, smiling encouragingly. “It’s okay. Come on, let’s go.” She hooked her arm through his and gently tugged him inside the store so they could order.

“Hello,” She greeted the same woman. “It’s my friend’s birthday so I’m wondering if you have some delicious pieces of chocolate cake and some candles to go with it?”

“Oh!” the pretty blonde woman exclaimed, averting her eyes from the handsome alien who reminded her of Hero Megamind. “S-Sure. Let me get that for you.” She walked away to work while Katelynn looked around for a seat for them. All the window seats were luckily pretty bare, giving them plenty of sitting room.

“Looks like we have the front to ourselves,” she replied, looking up at Jack and smiling.

*he wrapped Roxy’s leash down around his jeans leg so she wouldn’t hurry away, and thankfully she plopped her butt down on the ground and snuffed against the glass, peering at the world outside as he got comfortable*

w-what luck…! *oh god people inside the store. all looking at me. they’re looking at me. no. no. they’re not. focus. focus on katelynn. this is fun.* th-thank you again.
