*he frowns* he does sound like a jerk… a-art is about expression, using your abilities to express how you feel and what you love and hate. d-do you think an art teacher told salvador dali to pull his stuff together? o-or told vincent van gough to stop working with his swirls and lines? or michelangelo, o-or any of the famous artists who made a name for themselves by pushing boundaries? no! *his voice is becoming more serious, more steady, talking about something he loves* i was taught how to use the right tools, the shading, but never what to do with my work. my teacher allowed me to be free with what it wanted to do and for that i’m grateful to her forever and it was her who suggested i move here in the first place for my art, for my talents…!
*Her eyes widen, seeing for a moment a confident young man full of passion and it makes her heart beat a little* Y-Yeah…you’re right.
*Shakes her head to shake the fog from her mind* Hey, maybe you could teach me how to paint sometime! *She grows increasingly excited at the idea, really wishing to learn. Perhaps she’d even show him the drawings she had attempted and see what she needed to learn*
i’d love to teach you how to paint! *the passion’s still there, and he forms a fist of determination* you’ll be my first student, katelynn, and i’ll show you just how great art can be!
