“I was so scared.” he admitted quietly, eyes still shut, hands touching her arms gently. “S-so scared you wouldn’t wake up for so long. The doctor told me so much and I just got so afraid and I didn’t want to be afraid for this, I want to be strong for you I want to be so strong.” Jack flustered, words tumbling out before he pulled back and looked at her poor bruised face. He gently touched her cheek with his thumb, mindful of any cuts and bruises.
“Hah… look at you… still the m-most beautiful woman I’ve ever seen…”
She blushed slightly deeply, looking off to the side in embarrassment. “N…No..”
It was a bit frustrating to talk like this so she looked around for her notepad, finding it on the floor. She looked up at Jack, pointing at it with a pleading look in her eyes.
“Don’t argue.” he said firmly before seeing the look in her eyes, and looked down at the notepad. “Oh, right!” Jack bent down and picked it up, along with a pencil which had been knocked down as well. Standing back up he passed it to her.
