He didn’t know if just coming here every day counted as bravery. He came here because he adored her, because he loved talking to her and seeing her get better every day. Maybe he had fallen super hard but he didn’t feel bad about it, why would he? But only now, hearing all she wanted to do, reminded him how weak he was.
But he wasn’t going to go on about that. Not in front of her. It was wrong to do that. Keep the insecurities inside. Deep, deep inside. They can’t hurt her then.
“…o-okay.” he mumbled quietly. “I’m sorry if, if I upset you…’
She shook her head, a sad smile on her face. “You didn’t…I’m the one who upset you..I should be the one saying sorry…It’s just..Grace told me to share things and I even looked up advice on the internet on my phone..”
She blushed deeply, looking down. “Relationship advice…Cause I’m still so new at this and always wondering things and websites would talk about being honest and sharing with your l-lover, not having secrets. It makes for a healthy relationship. So I want to be honest with you, to always tell you things so you know what’s going on.”
Even if she was still keeping her darkest secret from him, wondering how or when would be the best day to tell him so he really would know everything.
Looking back up at him, she kissed his chin lovingly. “And I hope you do the same with me. I’ll always listen and offer support. I’ll try my best to give you advice on anything.”
“Y-you went to… web-websites? Really?” he asked quietly. But really, that was no better than what he did. He read books on the damn thing. And his romance movies. He knew it was good to be open, and honest, and not keep things hidden. She knew how shy he was, how he thought little of himself from time to time. There wasn’t anything else he could hide from her, even if he wanted to.
And he didn’t want to.
“Hm. D-don’t worry, Katelynn. I’ve got no secrets. M-my parents taught me it isn’t n-nice to keep things from people you care about and..” he took her hand into his. “And I care about you a lot…”
