Jack reached for her, and covered her hands with his and drew them in close, and pressed his lips to her knuckles, shutting his eyes.
“Wh-when we’re ready… it.. it’ll happen… b-but only one you’re ready, a-and healthy, Katelynn… don’t th-think that’s what I’m after be-because I care more about y-you as a person than… than that… sort of thing…”
She looked over at him, a huge smiling forming across her face, her anxiety melting away. “I know…if you had been interested in t-that..you would have gone after it right off the bat..and I’m glad you didn’t..” she replied, a trace of sadness in her voice. “Because then I would have thought but you aren’t like that and I could tell right away…You’re too wonderful to be that cruel to me..”
Jack gives her a small smile, and reaches up and brushes his fingers gently through her brown hair. “S-sex isn’t th-the most important thing in the w-world or… or a relationship. And y-you’re right I. I’m not… I’m not like that. I want you to know that. I will wait. I will wait f-for you for as long as it takes. N-never feel that you have to rush. Okay?”
