“Easy, easy…!” Jack laughed. Why hadn’t he mentioned what his parents did before? He should have known the fact his father photographed for a career would have made her happy. But he hadn’t known she was into writing. That was wonderful too. “Oh wait here…” Jack settled her brush down and fumbled with his wallet. He pulled out a picture, a photograph just under a year old, and brought it around for her to see. “Here they are… Aloysius and Bonnie Maple with some weird blue guy. I don’t know his name.”
She giggled, staring at the photograph. “I wouldn’t say he’s weird. He’s actually quite handsome. I believe his name is Jack Sparrow.”
Though she was teasing him, her eyes also roamed onto the kind faces of his parent’s, seeing two lovely people. What a contrast to her own parent’s, who both dressed so conservatively with starch clothing. His mom was especially lovely looking, a kind smile on her face.
“They sound as kind as they look…” she said softly.
“Captain.” he corrected her with a small chuckle before settling against her back only just, staring down at the photograph, and rests his chin on her shoulder. “So yeah… that’s my parents. They adopted me when I was eight years old, and… yeah. They’re wonderful. Aloysius taught me how to play the guitar, Bonnie taught me how to paint… a-and both taught me everything else. I’m sure they’ll love you.” he added the last part softly, kissing her shoulder. “Ever s-since she found out you’re my girlfriend Bonnie has been calling asking how we are…”
