Treatment Plan

“Oh I know how to manage my time and my energy Doctor Brink,” Jack said enthusiastically. “I paint for a living and I have so much work to do but I’ve balanced it rightly these past few weeks what with Katelynn and being there for her. I’ll be careful. I will. And thank you for calling me… though I think if you… if you find contacts for Katelynn’s family I don’t…” he hated saying this but… “I don’t think contacting them would be a good idea.”

This peaked the doctor’s interests somewhat. “Oh? You know of her immediate family? Why would it not be prudent to contact them?”

“I’m not a doctor and I’m only saying all this from my assumptions. So… f-forgive me if I speak out of turn,” Jack said as he stroked Roxy’s head as he spoke. “But she told me her parents… pretty much bullied her. I don’t know how far or the extent of their verbal treatment of her but I could tell it was bad enough to upset her just talking about them with her. It might… might be linked to her eating problems. Like I said I’m only guessing. Getting her in touch with her immediate family might… might not help her. At all. Not right now, at least.”
