Treatment Plan

wrapped-in-shadows:

“Doctor Brinks,” Jack said in his most serious, I’m not intimidated voice. “It. It’s Jack Maple, you called me about my girlfriend Katelynn Foster…?”

“Ah yes, Katelynn,” the doctor replied, reaching over for the necessary file. “Just a moment.”

He shuffled the papers around a bit before he opened the file. “Yes, I believe I said in my voicemail she attended counseling earlier today for her eating disorder. Now, I had told you in the past when she was in ICU that she was borderline anorexic according to my own suspicions but the counselor has ruled that out. Katelynn is not anorexic.”

Oh thank God.

Jack let out a shaky breath and allowed one hand to fall down to the floor, and shut his eyes.

“That’s… that’s good, isn’t it?” he asked quietly. “That she isn’t anorexic…?” Jack asked as Roxy, realizing her daddy had walked away, came plodding over to him and began licking at his hand. He lifted it and pushed it over the top of her head, causing her to pant in appreciation at being touched.
