Jack smiles at her before setting the book in the nightstand by her bed. “Yeah… that’s the one good thing about them.” he said before standing there awkwardly again. Oh, right. He came here for something.
“Um. Katelynn I was just… wondering if. If I could… s… sleep here, with you, tonight?” he asks quietly. “I mean I, I understand,” his yes quickly go to her exposed collar bone before back to her face, his own turning slightly purple. “i-if you don’t want to if you had a busy day but I would just… I thought since… since I couldn’t new years day I.. I could n-now…”
She blushes slightly, looking at the free space on the bed. She loved having a big bed, though with her small apartment the biggest she could fit was a Queen size. But Jack wanted to sleep here with her? She had never slept next to a man before even though she had wished for his presence after they had made love last time.
Would that happen tonight? She wasn’t sure but the idea of him him, whether just sleeping, cuddling or whatever, had her heart hammering in her chest. “It’s okay,” she whispered, looking up at him shyly. “You can..sleep here with me tonight if you want.”
“Oh! T-thank you! Thank you so much…” Jack smiled as he looked at the bed again, as if the idea of laying there was suddenly something to be gawked at for a moment. He pauses, before slipping his slippers off and sets them down by the bed. He sits down, carefully, before standing up again. He then pulled the blanket down, sat again, and climbed into the bed.
He’d never slept besides someone besides his parents. When he was little, growing up, he would crawl into their bed and sleep between them when his nightmares would be the worst. They never pushed him away. But this wasn’t his parents. This was Katelynn, his girlfriend.
“It’s very comfy.” he compliments as he settles down in it, looking up at her since she was still sitting up.
