“It really wasn’t so awkward, we had a lot of pets growing up so I saw kittens and puppies being born a lot…” he said then he stopped. And listened to her.
He blinked and looked at her with a surprised look. She hadn’t been with anyone before? So she and Harrison… or DW…? So he was her first? Her only? His heart suddenly swelled, and he smiled suddenly and wrapped his arms around her, pulling her in close to him, shutting his eyes tightly as he did.
“I’m all you’ve ever known…!” he whispered, shakily. “You’re all I’ve known too…! I’ve never been with anyone like I have with you, Katelynn I just love you so much…”
She sucked in a breath, feeling a bit terrified by his statement. He thought he was her first? Oh god…if he knew he’d hate her. She shook slightly but tried to smile for him, hating to lie to him.
“I-I love you too..” she whispered, snuggling into him gently, nuzzling his neck, not even feeling tired. “W-We can actually cuddle this time…”
“We can…! No hospital bed and cot anymore for us.” he smiled against her, feeling her shaking but he thought it was from joy, from happiness, hardly from a shame he knew nothing of. “Never again.” Jack said firmly.
