He smiles faintly and follows her. Jack slips his hand into hers as she half walks, half skips. “You’ll like it, I hope… given the time of year there won’t be any flowers, which will be good because of your allergies…”
She rolled her eyes, giggling a bit. “Oh, that’s no problem. I can just take an allergy medicine and I’ll be fine for a few hours. Plus, seeing flowers is completely worth it in the spring..I can’t wait for the ice to melt away and to see everything become green again..”
She looked up at him and leaned in to kiss his chin. “But either way I know I’ll love it because it’s where you grew up. That makes it really special for me. I get to see a part of you that I’ve never known before.”
He smiles as he holds her hand closely in his own, and kisses at her as best he can when she kisses his chin. “T-that’s right. I just hope you like the place… it will take a bit of a drive to get out there, though…”
