He blushed, brilliantly, that she said that to him. Jack turned his head to look at her, surprised on his green eyes. To hear her say that… it made his heart beat faster within his chest.
Something so simple? Was that all?
Jack pulled back from her, before reaching for the bottom of his black turtleneck and gently pulled it up. There was the butterfly tattoo again, a faint pattering of chest hair, and when he pulled it off entirely she saw the dragon on his shoulder. He knelt there before her, turtleneck in his hands, face purple.
“…like this?”
She stared at him again, feeling herself blush deeply as a shiver ran down her spine. Yeah that was exactly how, her eyes roaming despite herself, taking in every inch of his skin. She had definitely not expected him to be so daring back, actually showing her what she wanted to see.
“Y-Yeah..” she admitted shakily, her eyes eating him up. Oh god she wanted to jump at him but she tucked her hands under her knees, making sure that didn’t happen. She didn’t want to freak him out or anything.
Yet her mind kept running through things, noticing a bit of the shoulder tattoo she had fallen in love with when she had seen it. She blushed, imagining herself kissing that area in passion.
She chewed on her bottom lip to make the train of thought stop. God he was so sexy she couldn’t stand it. Was it because everything was still so new between them and not quite as comfortable as couples who had been together for years?
Her eyes went back to his chest, caressing him almost with her eyes as they traveled upward before settling on his eyes, her own reflecting a desire she wasn’t sure if she wanted to initiate. Would it be a good idea with the scare they were going through?
He stared back at her, watching how she looked at him in ways nobody had ever done before. It made his heart race within his chest, turning his cheeks, nose, and tips of his ears turn brilliantly violet when she did. Katelynn had such a… a way with her eyes. They could do so much to him, undo him, give him strength, courage, yet could tear him down when she looked at him with sadness.
Jack watched her sit on her knees and gave an awkward laugh, before he reached to her, his blue hands abandoning his turtle neck on the floor, and he pushed his fingers against her face, and neck as he leaned closer to her.
“I love you.” he whispered, lips barely against hers as he whispered it, “Please don’t ever think I won’t… or that I’d leave you… how could I leave you…?” Jack asked softly as the hand in her hair trailed down her back, before settling on her hip. “Okay, Katelynn…?”
