“You always look sexy for me.” Jack said quietly, shocked that such a sentence was leaving his lips. “When… when you show up in anything you wear, you’re most beautiful, most sexy woman in the world to me.” he went on to say. “Outside when the wind is in your hair, or, or the snow in it, and any other time, Katelynn…” he says. “I just wish I could… I could look better for you. I’m always in my turtlenecks and my jeans and… I just wan to look good for you but you’re so much braver than me. Look you just shown how much,” he says, gesturing to the lingerie. “by buying this…!”
But he smiles, and pulls her into his arms, hugging her tightly. “You’re beautiful, Katelynn. You will be, to me, a-always, all right?”
Whenever he was sweet like this he always left her speechless, always left her breathless that she could hear the pounding of her heart in her ear. She snuggled into him, feeling content in his arms, as if no one could harm her.
“You always look good in my opinion, Jack,” she whispered honestly, blood rushing into her face at the rest. “Especially..I mean..I really like seeing you shirtless too..”
Had she really just said that? She couldn’t believe she had been brave enough to admit that little secret.
He blushed, brilliantly, that she said that to him. Jack turned his head to look at her, surprised on his green eyes. To hear her say that… it made his heart beat faster within his chest.
Something so simple? Was that all?
Jack pulled back from her, before reaching for the bottom of his black turtleneck and gently pulled it up. There was the butterfly tattoo again, a faint pattering of chest hair, and when he pulled it off entirely she saw the dragon on his shoulder. He knelt there before her, turtleneck in his hands, face purple.
“…like this?”
