Taking a Trip

“K-Katelynn I’m sure it was nothing,” Jack said as he set his sandwich down an followed after her, the expression on his face an attempt at bravery but it was obvious he wasn’t as all right with this as he thought he would be. Hadn’t any time passage between the last time he was here and now changed anything? This was his family home. He should be so happy here! And he was! Until the door slammed.

“B-besides I don’t think a ghost answers to questions.” he poined out, before pausing. “Unless they do?” he asked her, since she seemed to know a bit more on these things tham him despite him growing up with them.

She peered over her shoulder at him, hair falling over her shoulder. “Well..no…” she answered, a bit disappointed. “Unless you really do provoke them, call them out somehow. They sort of do answer if you do that. But then you get the mean ghosts and I’d rather not run into one of them..”

She wasn’t afraid of a mean ghost, really, but she didn’t want Jack getting scared over one.

Sighing in disappointment at finding nothing, she turned to stare at Jack a bit, her face showing that disappointment. “I guess there really is no point looking then..I thought maybe I could. But I’d rather film one actually moving on camera versus take their picture. Though seeing one would have still been pretty cool.”

“M-maybe you’ll see one later?” Jack asked as he turned the nearest light on since it was getting dark and they needed to be able to see where they were going. “Or before we leave? I, I’m sure they wouldn’t pass up the chance to have you see them or, or see them in real action as opposed to a door shutting…”
