Taking a Trip

wrapped-in-shadows:

“We can just cut them into slices.” Jack offered as he took the bowl from her and poured some of the mix onto the frying pan. Using a spatula he moved the pancake, already cooking. “And e-enjoy them with the pancake with sugar or something…”

“Mmm that sounds amazing! Ugh I have such a sweet tooth,” she giggled, closing her eyes as the smell of the pancakes wafted around her. For something so simple, they smelled amazing.

She went over to look for the strawberries to begin cutting them, clearing dishes as she went and putting other things back, running around all over the kitchen.

Jack continued making pancakes, having mastered them so long ago thanks to his mother showing him the right way to flip. He places them all onto a plate, one on top of another, then onto another plate.

“Y-yeah? Me too!” he admits with a smile. “I, I used to get awful cavities as a kid… I had to be really careful… d-didn’t help I had braces…”
