Jack kissed her forehead again before touching her unbandaged cheek. “Oh Katelynn you should have come to me straight away… I. I’m sorry I wasn’t there. I could have helped you, I’m a pretty fast runner I could have gotten the guy…?” he asked though really what would he do once he caught up to him? Flail like a wet cat?

Roxy barked at the puppy before barking up at her daddy, wuffing noisily. Jack looked down at the two dogs and smiled faintly. “And sorry, hello to you, little girl. Do you have a name now?”

“Her name is Stella,” she replied softly, bending down and petting her puppy and then Roxy. They seemed to like each other as Roxy tried to nudge Stella who was busy trying to get Katelynn’s attention.

“I made a post to my blog for help for names and Bernard told me “Stella” and I fell in love with it. It fits with my love for astronomy,” she replied, looking over at Jack and smiling softly.

“Hah. Stella.” Jack grinned and leaned down, petting the puppy but quickly moving onto Roxy less his pug get incredibly jealous of him. He lifts her into his arms, the black pug sniffing and licking at his face. “That’s a great name! Plus now we can legitimately stand outside and yell ‘Stella’ without getting weird looks from people!”

She looked at him with an odd look.

“Street Car Named Desire. Marlon Brando back when he was young had a scene in it where he’s standing outside with a torn shirt yelling ‘Stella’.” he told her.
