He looked down at her for a moment before Roxy, bored and having eaten her treat despite Stella jumping all around her, returned with a vengeance and leaped onto Katelynn.
“Oh no I’m being attacked~!” she giggled, feeling Roxy crawl all over her as she picked her up and held her up a bit, looking up into her slobbering face. “Oh sorry sweetie! I swear I won’t steal your bed, okay? I’m going to sleep with your daddy instead. His bed will be much better for me anyway.”
Setting her back on the floor, Katelynn picked up Stella as well and stood up from her spot on Jack’s lap to cuddle her. “Guess we got distracted from watching that movie..” she whispered, smiling over at him from over her shoulder.
“We were going to watch a movie?” Jack asked dumbly as Roxy, now free of Katelynn, crawled into his lap instead and rested her snout against his chest. He touched her head, petting her ears, eyes still on Katelynn.
