“I think I’m good with that.” he said with a smile, holding her hand, but spotted that disappointed look. Oh. He should have just said fun. Yes, fun. Next time he would, just so not to see that look on her face again.
The line was definitely not long on this ride considering people wanted to get on roller coasters and fast rides so Katelynn and Jack are easily ushered into a cart, the door closing behind them. This Ferris Wheel was equipped with circular compartments with windows and benches so the breeze wouldn’t hit them so high up.
The Ferris Wheel began to move slowly once they were inside, Katelynn making a grab for his watch once no one could see them, turning it off before turning her own so they were themselves, if only for a moment.
She smiled at him, touching his cheek. “I wanted to..see the man I loved while I could tonight,” she said, staring up at him with so much love in her eyes.
Jack looked down at his hand for a moment as it turned blue and a slight panic struck him. Oh god. If people saw him. He fought the urge to duck down, instead he held onto one of her hands, and looked into her eyes as well. There was adoration there, of course there was, love and all of those wonderful thing she makes him feel but just a bit of fear.
“Y-yeah. That accent is just weird.” he admitted, before reaching with his free hand and caressed her temple and cheek gently.
“But I prefer you like this, then that face you wear for me now, out there.” Jack added softly.
