will-never-be-a-swan:

wrapped-in-shadows:

“It is enough Katelynn because you are what I need, what I want, what is enough.” he said quietly, brushing her face with his hands, wiping her tears before they fall too far down her cheeks. “Katelynn please… I love you, I love you so much… don’t e-ever be sorry for being you or doing what you do. Life, life is to make mistakes to learn from them… th-that’s how it works, isn’t it?”

He pulls her into his arms again, holding her close, trying to say so much in the simple gesture. “Th-that’s how life is… mistakes, but you pick y-yourself up like I did, a-and you move on…”

“S-Seems you’re the one..giving me strength now..” she whispered, nuzzling into him, all previous thoughts of running away banishing from her mind. She had done nothing but that her entire life, always running when things got tough and now she had almost done it again, running from love and thinking that was best if it meant his safety.

She had thought it was weak to stay, to always want to be with him and put him in danger but it was the complete opposite and she was slowly beginning to see that.

Mistakes..love was never a mistake. She had made plenty of mistakes in the past but love wasn’t one of them.

“Thank you Jack..”

“Thank you. And I love you, Katelynn…” is all he can say as he holds her because there’s nothing else he can ever say to her to tell her how grateful he was to know her, to hold her, to love her and watch over her as best he can. He doesn’t want to think how life would be like without her in it, without knowing her smile, or her laugh. That’s what mattered to him most, more than their kissing, even if that meant a lot to him as well.

It was just a means to show her how much he adored her. And making love, my God. There was nothing more meaningful then that. Even with her past, clouded and stained by that other man, she knew he would never judge her for that, or hate her. He was what she knew now. And she was all he knew.

That’s the way he wanted it to stay.
