“Not about winning.” he said, shaking his head, burying it into her neck, feeling her for the first time since her powers. “Funny that I missed you even if you were right here all along?” Jack asks, voice shaking slightly with emotion.
“Not being able to touch you or kiss you I was so envious of Metro Man not being afflicted. God I wish I was him sometimes…”
She smiled gently, holding him close. “I-I know how you feel..I was feeling like that until we got on the bed..worried that I’d hurt you if we touched,” she admitted softly, her fingers running up along his neck to his forehead, caressing whatever skin she could.
“And don’t wish to be Metro Man…just be yourself…that’s all I want..”
He smiled faintly, and sighed.
“Yeah…? You want a gangly blue man who’s so shy he can barely step outside without thinking his shadow is someone trying to mug him?” he asks on a hushed tone, but still smiled. “I’m glad. Because I don’t think anyone else would have wanted him.”
