Ice and Brains

Jack eyed her, tilting his head only just, before he shrugged his arms. “You don’t want me kissing you because I called you a kitty, I don’t blame you. I shouldn’t have done that.” he walks around to his dressing draws, and pulls out some pajamas and held them up in front of him. “So, as is the rule with every relationship, at some point the guy has to sleep on the couch. Since I have no couch, I have to sleep on the beanbag with my dog.”

She opened her mouth to argue with him softly, not liking how this was going. She figured they would be on the bed by now, tickling each other and flirting with each other, not with him thinking he was banished to the beanbag.

And she couldn’t very well rush at him and hug him. Already her body was giving off a faint mist at her guilt.

Walking over to him, she placed her hands on top of his and gave him big puppy dog eyes. “I-I was just kidding..I didn’t mean it..I was just teasing you..” she told him softly, hoping he would stay in the bed with her.

Suddenly he was hugging her, lifting her up into the air, despite the cold air hitting him as he does, a hand loses itself in her hair and he kisses her, abandoning his pajamas on the floor as he spins her before falling onto the bed with her. Katelynn lands beneath him, and he kisses her still, despite feeling like Jack Frost was nipping at his nose, but the warmth of the insulation on the bed helps with her body, warming it and ultimately warming him too.

“I know. I was teasing too.” he whispered against her jaw softly. “It took every ounce not to throw myself on you and apologize.”
