“If you’re there… I may not talk as much as I should.” Jack mumbled. “I know me too well. I’d become a wall flower whilst you two talk since he’s more your friend than mine. But… maybe you can drop me off like a good mommy then pick me up when we’re done?” he asks, equally teasing, grinning softly as he gently kissed her forehead.
She giggled at his teasing tone and even decided to prolonge it, poking him in the ribs gently. “Of course my little boy. Do you want me to pack you a lunch too?”
“Peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, mommy.” Jack replied on a small smile. “But I like the crusts, don’t cut them off?”
