After the Fight

Jack hoped he could get to know some of them… even Metro Man, to an extent, though he didn’t feel all too comfortable near him. The fact he’d pushed himself onto his girlfriend, kissed her even, despite knowing she was taken… yet the fact he was attracted to men like him didn’t bother him. Why was that?

Am I turning into a possessive boyfriend? I hope not…

“Sure, sure.” he nodded his head. “Tell me about your favorites first.”

Her favorites? She pondered deeply. “Um..” she began giving a bit of a nervous giggle. “It isn’t really fair to pick favorites though.”

Still, she decided to start out with the ones she was closest to. She groaned lightly because that was Metro Man.

“The closest person I have, other than you, truthfully is Mets though.. You know him a bit already, defender of the  city. He’s like an older brother..”

She was also really close to Six but Jack knew him already, didn’t he? “Then there’s Six. He’s like a dad to me..” she whispered, blushing.

“And.. Bernard Jones has been really kind to me all the time. He’s given me a lot of information and was always understanding. And Miss Grace is really kind. She has a boyfriend and a kid and she’s becoming an actress for..  Mr. Drake..” she finished softly, thinking back to him for a moment.

She wondered what he was up to.

Jack listened as he painted, nodding his head now and then. It was nice of her to think of her friends as family, Six especially since the man had an air about him that spoke of experiencing terrible things, and yet still surviving. Jack thought his childhood was horrible but he had to wonder what kind of childhood Six had had.

“Right… I think Bernard sounds like a good start?” he asked.
