“It isn’t that big a deal,” he said, now feeling horrible for having said it. Oh dear. He was only three days into his powers and already his meeker self was beginning to push back, trying to resurface. He really had to finish the gun now. Jack got up out of his seat, and smoothed out his clothes as he walked around to her. “Look Katelynn, I have some work to do so are you okay here?”
She turned to look at him, smiling softly. “Of course love..I’m sorry for..well..always crying to you though..but I’m fine really..I’ll clean up the windowsill and maybe..” God she didn’t even really know what to do with herself really. She rubbed her arm self consciously as she thought about it. She was so used to going out and taking photo’s or hanging out with her friends that she wasn’t really sure what she wanted to do in the room. “…draw or read my books..” she finished lamely.
Or she could shower. She probably needed a proper one.
She walked over to Jack and gave him a gentle kiss on his cheek. “I’ll be fine.”
He nodded, kissing her cheek in return. “I know you will be.” he said gently, since he had to beleive she’d be find. Just because he was going to be away for a while didn’t mean she was going to get herself into some kind of trouble. Jack smiled, and caressed her face gently. “I’ll see you later then, okay?”
