He blinked his green eyes a little before turning his head to look outside. To go… outside, like this? He wouldn’t be stared at, would he? He wouldn’t be mistaken for Megamind, or anything like that. And Katelynn, well… if she wanted she could wear the watch or just go as she was. She was so brave, so strong, why would she want to hide?
Jack turned his head back to her, pausing to blow some loose curls that were beginning to hang in his eyes.
“I’d love to. If, if you come with me.” he said. “And the girls, too!” he added, looking down at the dogs.
She giggled, hearing a tiny bark at her feet as she bent down slowly, petting Roxy and Stella.
“Of course our girls come too. We’ll walk them around, take in the sights of the city,” she began, looking back up at Jack and smiling broadly, “whatever you want to do. I’ll let you decide.”
Giving another pet to each dog, she stood up to collect their collars, seeing them follow after her in excitement because she was nearing the door and that meant one of two things; no, one thing because they noticed the collars.
Going out!
Jack had hurried to get his own jacket and scarf on, and pull on his boots. His hats were a bit baggy on him but he simply rolled one up slightly and tugged it onto his head and admired himself for a moment in the mirror.
Hm.
Nah. He liked his blue body much better but there was nothing he could do about that now, was there? Jack turned and rejoined Katelynn at the door, taking Roxy’s leash from her.
“So where shall we go? The park? The piers? I, I really don’t know where…!” he was actually excited Excited to go out.
