“If you don’t fee a-any better by tomorrow I’ll take you to see a doctor.” Jack said gently as he smoothed his hand against her forehead. “Now you w-wait here I’ll fetch you some tissues… maybe a b-box… and a bucket in case y-you need to be sick…”
He went and fetched these items, setting them by the bed. He then gave her another pillow to help support her head, and set some water by the bedside as well so if she was thirsty she could help herself. On top of that he included some pain medication for headaches and fevers.
“Do you want me to close the blinds?” he asked, moving to the window since if she had sore eyes he wouldn’t want to make them worse by having day light shine into her face.
“You..worry too much love..I don’t need a doctor,” she continued to argue, though agreed on the blinds.
Snuggling down into bed, she sighed, earning another cough. God her throat hurt and it hurt to even swallow. She dared not drink the water right now, and she feared even suggesting but tried anyway.
“I’m sure by tomorrow..I’ll be better and ready for work again.”
“If you’re not you’re not going to work.” Jack said as he shut the blinds. “I don’t w-want you going out sick. That isn’t happening, not on my w-watch.” he said as he walked around the bed and stood by the bedside, folding his arms loosely.
“You may n-need a day to recover any way.”
