First, What Is Your Name?

nightmare-in-violet:

will-never-be-a-swan:

She pulled away from him and Violet, wobbling around them to his art supplies and looking around for a pencil.”Lilligant!” she cried out, moving a few of his things around carefully.

When she found one, she tried wrapping her leafy hand around it and held it triumphantly over at the two, eyes large.

Now for some paper! she thought, grabbing a sheet of random white paper and moving the pencil around in an awkward motion around it, her lettering rather large and squiggly.

Write I can try sloppy.” She wrote, showing them both the paper in her free hand and trying to keep a grip on the pencil. The lettering took up most of the paper.

Violet watched her going through the motions. She read the message when Katelynn was done, and nodded. “It’s something, at least,” she said. “Better than me having to translate for you all the time, but I’ll still stick around if you need that.” Even if she didn’t want the responsibility of being a “trainer”, she had it now, and with the hero oaths she’d taken, she had to help someone in need.

She turned back to Jack with a sympathetic, hopeful look. “Any thoughts? Like I said, I really don’t know much about how this whole, well, system works.”

He sat down on the ground now, hugging his knees to his chest. “Hm. Well… in the game when a pokemon’s no longer wanted by the trainer they release them via Bill’s PC. An-and in the anime Ash just lets his pokemon go, thre’s no real… ceremony or… breaking of the pokeball it just. Goes away to live its life. I don’t know.” he shrugged weakly.
