“You  can surprise me, or…” Ezayne grinned to dissimulate his lack of knowledge about the subject. Given how he never had finished his studies, all he knew about meassures what using the length of his hooks as reference (10 meters each one). Still, Jack’s face was telling him sure it would be better just to pick a size.

“…You could draw the scene inside a square, 1 meter each side.”

A square didn’t really suit the images Jack had in mind, but he gave a small nod. After looking the wallspace over carefully once more, he said, “I’ll tell you what. Why don’t I get s-some preliminary sketches done, in different shapes, and you can pick which one looks best?” He smiled. “I could scan them and email them to you?” Graphic art was still a new and distant field for him, but he’d talked to some other artists while he was in New York, and gotten the idea to start using a scanner.

“Sounds like an excellent plan to me! I really like than plan!” Ezayne couldn’t help but smile back. “If you tell me your email account, I’ll send you an email back, so you can add me to your contacts list. Can’t wait to see your sketches. Sure they will be amazing.”

More sketches meant more drawings. More things he could watch before going to sleep. It would be a way to keep her close to his heart.

“Here you go.” From his pocket, Jack produced one of the updated business cards he’d had ordered while he was still in New York. It carried his phone number, email, and several other contact details. “And I s-should have the sketches ready very soon.” He meant that – he was excited to get started on this project.
