And you’re right, I don’t remember ever having a Minion. [Gives a nervous smile at the last part] I d-don’t know about reading minds, though. I’m sensitive to people’s moods, but I can’t actually read their thoughts. [Chuckles] I wish I could, sometimes.
[[ I’m not sure of all the details, but I think what CG ultimately decided was that Jack isn’t really an alternate of Megamind. He’s from the same planet, and looks a lot like him, but only in the same way that two humans with similar build and features look alike. There’s a few early mentions of him having a Minion, but I think they’ve been retconned out; it makes sense for Jack to have turned out so shy and unsure of himself without having Minion there to support him. ]]
