Trying not to pull away and hurt his feelings in case he took at as a sign to not touch her, she merely looked down. It was sweet and she always enjoyed his caresses but she had seen herself in the mirror. “No…I look strange. I’d probably scare someone if I went out but…”
Unable to help it she reached out to smack her palm against his butt again and then pulled her hand back rapidly, holding onto it with her other arm. “I can’t stop doing that either..! My body wants me to go outside and do that to everyone on the street.” She was shaking slightly from trying to stop her feet from moving to the door.
“Maybe you can tell them it’s a costume?” he suggested weakly. “Or, uh, maybe use one of the watches?” He didn’t trust himself to use one, though. His limbs changed shape too easily now – one wrong move and the watch would slip off.
He made a comical squeak of surprise as she smacked his butt again. “Well, I don’t really mind, but I think other people would. Could you, uh, just stay away from people until this wears off?”
Jack wrapped one long black arm around her gently. Now that Katelynn had brought it up, he was feeling a strange urge of his own. He wanted to find … children? But why?
“I don’t know if I can..” she admitted weakly, nibbling on her bottom lip. “And it’s only going to get me in trouble! Ugh…” Bringing her hands up to cover her face, she tried to think of what the conditions were to get out of this anon. Unless..
“What if I have to do this to be my old self again? Or is that silly..?” He was right though. She could at least put it off as some mask but she didn’t even look like herself so she knew it would be best to stay away from her friends. “Maybe we should go out and test things and see?”
He didn’t frown, exactly, but his shoulders drooped again. “I really, really hope that’s not it. I don’t want to go out among people unless I’ve got no other choice. I mean … Katelynn, my instincts are telling me to find children. For a creature that looks like this, that can’t mean anything good!"
Jack hugged her. "I think it’s better if we just stay away from people as much as possible."
