Ever Ever After

Well now she definitely felt sheepish as he was trying to be romantic while she had tried to seduce him again. She ducked her head a bit to hide her blushing cheeks and just danced with him, unable to keep the smile of happiness of her face.

“Prince Jackson,” she began to keep up the fantasy, “you’re a marvelous dancer. Surely there are many princesses in the land who would jump at the opportunity to be with you and yet I feel so lucky as to be the one you picked; to be the one who is graced with your presence.”

She could almost hear an orchestra playing for them, imagining they were out on a marble dance floor with streamers hanging off of tall archways in a castle.

“The honor is all mine, fair Katelynn,” he replied with a lovesick smile. Even if they were just dancing in their living room, to music from a movie, it was still more than he’d ever thought he’d have. During his adolescence and young adulthood, he’d dreamed of finding someone who would love him just as he was, but in his heart, he’d always believed he was too shy and strange for it to ever come true.

But now he’d found Katelynn – lovely, sweet, brave Katelynn – and the years of loneliness seemed more than worth it. Yes, it hadn’t always been easy, but as far as Jack was concerned, the good times far outweighed the bad. They had each other, their love, and the promise of a future together, and that was all he could have wished for.

He kept dancing with her, pressing his body against hers. Just because he’d wanted to dance first didn’t mean he had forgotten what she had in mindquite the opposite! As the movie finally ended and the TV fell silent, Jack carefully bent his knees, and scooped Katelynn into his arms.

“Come, my princess. Let us retire to our chambers.”

The painter was thin and not very strong, but she was so slight that it wasn’t hard for him to hold her up. Smiling, he carried her, bridal-style, into the bedroom, and nudged the door shut behind him.

“Jack!” she called out in surprise, forgetting to call him by his roleplay name as she bound her hands around his shoulder to hold on tight. He had never carried her bridal style before and yet it was so romantic, like something out a movie that she couldn’t help a tiny squeal of happiness. “O-Oh wow..”

Definite turn on for her as she hid her face in his neck for a moment. “So the prince has rescued his princess from the evil doer or are you planting me in the ‘castle’ where you will come rescue me?”

She still needed to build the fort to give it the full effect to but she was happy enough in his arms for now.

Jack hoped she wasn’t going to expect him to carry her like this regularly. He could manage it for short distances, when he was excited enough, but it was still hard to keep her safe and balanced. Not to mention, he liked it more when she took the lead; he wished she didn’t feel so self-conscious about ‘seducing’ him, because he loved knowing how much she wanted him. But this was special, and part of the fantasy.

“Mm, whichever you’d prefer, my love.” He laid Katelynn gently down on the soft quilt. The lights were off, but it would be easy – and more romantic – for him to fetch some candles from the other room. “This is your fairy tale, after all."
