Strange 24 Hours

“Katelynn are you always just going to walk away from me when I ask you important questions?” Jack asked, uncaring of the treatment being given to his girlfriend at this moment. “T-this is a serious problem. Stop ignoring me. Stop i-ignoring it.”

She turned to him, flushing purple along her ears again and looking quite guilty. “I..I didn’t..I mean..I came to get food here..”

Her heart was pounding so hard within her chest, seeing him angry like that, and at her, she wasn’t used to it.

The woman came back out with her bread bowl, all wrapped up so she wouldn’t eat it inside, and told her the total for her order. But seeing the handsome man with her she gave him a smile.

He didn’t look mad, more concerned. But Katelynn had a habit of blowing things out of proportion like that. Jack looked up at the woman who smiled at him and he just observed her, before looking back at Katelynn.

“E-either way you did just walk away from me. You didn’t even a-attempt to answer. …are you skipping meals again…?”

Jack stopped walking, and looked at Katelynn.

“Katelynn.” he said quietly. “What did your doctors tell you?”

She flushed, still looking at the restaurant ahead and seeing a woman giving out free samples of clam chowder. Allowing Stella to tug on her, Katelynn rushed ahead to take some, sipping it a bit happily.

“Oh this is delicious!” she said, tasting a bit of potato in it. “How much are the bowls?”

The woman wrinkled her nose a bit. “They’re about 6 dollars…”

“Can I have one please?”

She didn’t bother answering, going inside to place an order for her perhaps?

Blue Woman

“Nice to m-meet you Lucy.” Jack smiles faintly; a blue woman. Even with seeing Katelynn like this it’s still striking to meet another, especially one with such green eyes. It’s a wee bit intimidating.

“Nice to meet you, too.” Well, Jack wasn’t doing anything too surprising, so far, even if it’s a little bit intimidating, still, meeting new people. Lucy tries to smile, a little curious about him. Someone actually not that surprised by her, after what she’s remembered of meeting new people in the past, that coloring her entire expectations? Of course she’s wondering.

He smiled faintly. “I don’t… g-get out much, to be honest so I’m afraid I haven’t seen you a-around. I’m a painter, you see.” Jack explained, placing a hand to his chest nervously, nails digging against his turtleneck. “So, so I spend a lot of time indoors…”

“Uh. Hm. Hi!” he sticks his hand out. “M-my name’s Jack. Jack Maple. H-how’re you?”

“Doing… okay.” ‘Okay’ worked. She takes the offered hand slowly, grateful that he hadn’t reached directly for her’s first. “Lucy.”

Breaking News On Graffiti Around Metro City

will-never-be-a-swan:

“Today, in a slew of vandalism, the image of a woman has been cropping up all over Metro City with the words ‘Do Not Trust’ underneath the image. The picture of the woman has yet to be identified and the vandal has yet to be caught. If you have clues, please contact the Metro City Police Department. In other news…”

Katelynn sat back, knowing who the image was of, a small smile on her face.

She had a great suspicion of who had done it as well. Katelynn could always recognize his work after all.

“Oh Jack…” she whispered with a sigh, smile still on her face, petting Stella on the head. “You silly, lovely man..”

She’d have to give him a kiss when he got home.

Meanwhile, in another part of Metro City, the scream of a woman was heard, hands in her hair as she gazed upon the imagine, wondering who was going around doing such a thing.

Her face was red in embarrassment, blood hot and angry running through her veins.

Whoever had done this, she swore revenge. She made her way quickly to the police station to report herself as the woman so they can go around and paint over the images.

Stupid prick is messing with the wrong woman!

Strange 24 Hours

“She’s always hungry that little girl of yours.” Jack said with a smile, looking down at the bulldog pup. She had grown a little since they first got her, and he had to remind himself once she was fully grown she would out weigh even Roxy. He wondered how Roxy would continue being ‘top dog’ after that. Hopefully without too many scuffles…

Katelynn wrinkles her nose a bit, smiling down at her. “It’s like she’s the personification of my appetite and she’s the reason I don’t eat..sometimes..”

Oops, she almost let slip how she forgot sometimes. Maybe if they ate now he’d forget about it.

“Well since we can’t take photo’s, want to see what’s available to eat? I think they might have clam chowder bowls?”

Jack stopped walking, and looked at Katelynn.

“Katelynn.” he said quietly. “What did your doctors tell you?”
