Eyes widening in shock from seeing his hand transform, Katelynn instinctively reaches out for his hand without even thinking of being hurt by it. It’s Jack after all and she trusts him with her whole heart not to intentionally hurt her.

“Wow..” she whispered, fingers sliding along the tendrils. “Would it be..weird if I said that even like this you’re really handsome?” Her cheeks blossomed into a blush, nibbling on her lower lip.

It was so weird. His hand had changed shape, but he could still feel with it – more acutely than ever, in fact. When Katelynn’s fingers twined with his, he could feel her pulse and the electric impulses in her skin.

He watched the blush spread across her mask-like white face, and wished he could smile. “I d-don’t think I am, but you’re sweet to s-say so.” Not hesitating this time, he reached out and stroked one tendril down her cheek tenderly. “I know you’re as beautiful as ever.”

Trying not to pull away and hurt his feelings in case he took at as a sign to not touch her, she merely looked down. It was sweet and she always enjoyed his caresses but she had seen herself in the mirror. “No…I look strange. I’d probably scare someone if I went out but…”

Unable to help it she reached out to smack her palm against his butt again and then pulled her hand back rapidly, holding onto it with her other arm. “I can’t stop doing that either..! My body wants me to go outside and do that to everyone on the street.” She was shaking slightly from trying to stop her feet from moving to the door.

“Maybe you can tell them it’s a costume?” he suggested weakly. “Or, uh, maybe use one of the watches?” He didn’t trust himself to use one, though. His limbs changed shape too easily now – one wrong move and the watch would slip off.

He made a comical squeak of surprise as she smacked his butt again. “Well, I don’t really mind, but I think other people would. Could you, uh, just stay away from people until this wears off?"

Jack wrapped one long black arm around her gently. Now that Katelynn had brought it up, he was feeling a strange urge of his own. He wanted to find … children? But why?

-Nodding, slightly frightened of the situation- “I look pretty scary!” -Reaches up to touch her face and see if the white will come off but her hands are clean. Tenderly reaches out to touch his face- “Seems the magic anons are having fun for Halloween. There wasn’t even a time limit or condition on mine. What about you?”

[He shakes his head, and bends down a little so she can touch him] No, there wasn’t a limit on mine either. And … I’m scared about that. [As he reaches out to her, meaning to caress her cheek, his pale hand suddenly lengthens into a mass of black tendrils. He gasps, and starts to pull away, thinking she won’t want to be touched by those things.]

-Slaps him on the behind- “S-Sorry Jack! The magic anon is making me do it!” -She blushed deeply and squeezed her hand into a fist to avoid doing it again- “W-Whoa you’re different too?!”

[Whirls around, recognizing that voice] Katel- [Then he sees her new form, and does a double-take that looks very comical on a blue Slenderman] Y-y-yes. I take it you were hit by a magic anon too? [He has no mouth for the words to come out of, but somehow she can hear him anyway]

*Magic Anon* You are now Slenderman… though, with how nice you always are, I might as well have turned you into Tenderman.

Slenderman? The name sounded a bit familiar to Jack, but not very. He  didn’t spend a great deal of time online, except for looking up pictures and managing his commission website, and he hadn’t come across that particular creature. “What’s a-”

And then the anon’s spell hit.

Jack barely had time to cry out in shock before his entire face melted into a smooth, blank mask. He could feel his body stretching, elongating, growing impossibly tall. Although his eyes were gone, somehow he could still see, and he watched as the spell bleached his skin, turning it from sky-blue to a ghostly grayish-white.

His color-vision faded, turning the world to shades of black and gray. Every movement seemed to be sharper and keener in his sight – and, when he looked over at Roxy sleeping on the couch, he realized he could also see body heatlike a pit viper.

As if sensing that something was wrong, Roxy woke up from her nap. The fat little pug’s eyes widened, and she nearly fell off the couch as she scrambled backward, barking fearfully.

Jack started to reach out to his dog, but then looked down at his long, spindly white hands, and his shoulders slumped. He couldn’t talk, but his unhappy thoughts still echoed in the air.

If Roxy’s so upset, then what’s Katelynn going to say when she comes home?
