Oh the memories.

Oh the memories.
“Oh, my heart.” Jack lamented, pressing his hands to his chest.
She giggled, pressing her ears to his chest. “It sounds fine to me!”
Then his arms wrap around her and he spins her once, before dipping her, eyebrows rising. “B-because it soldiers on despite its ache. I’m quite g-good at doing that, after all.”
“Oh, who?”
Blushes and nudges him. “Metro Man, who else?”
“Oh, my heart.” Jack lamented, pressing his hands to his chest.

“Right,” she giggled, making fake gun motions at him, hoping to quell the butterflies in her stomach. “You don’t..you didn’t..read my stuff, did you?”
Jack shook his head. “No. I mostly keep up on things with your mother. She’s on here too, after all.”

She stopped at the door, hand on the handle and having been ready to shut it behind her. “Social networks?” She turned around to smile at him. “Dad, come on, how lame is that? They’re totally lame. No way would I go on one of those. Well I don’t know about taco breath but I’m making sure to keep my straight As.”
“I know kitten. I k-know.” Jack smiled at her faintly, turning his head to glance over his shoulder at her. “You can have s-some fun though. Just don’t spend all your time on them, th-that’s all.”

“I don’t know kitten,” he said as he turned to look at her, raising an eyebrow again. “Should there be something else I should be doing with my time here?” Jack asked, smiling faintly.
“Nope! Not at all!” she said, standing up and tucking her laptop under her arm. “Just research yup! You know I really should go get on that homework. There’s a ton of it. I don’t wanna get a B. Heaven forbid, right?”
She giggled nervously, making her way for the door.
“Well I hope you are studying,” Jack said as he turned to look back at his laptop. “A-and not spending too much time on social n-network sites. But I trust you to k-know your classes come first. You a-and your brother.”

“Researching mostly.” he replied as he looked down at his laptop. “New piece I’m working on for the Metro Art Museum…”
She let out a relieved breath, setting her laptop aside and looking at his. “Oh wow! That looks really awesome. So just research huh? Nothing else?”
Apparently she was horrible at appearing nonchalant.
“I don’t know kitten,” he said as he turned to look at her, raising an eyebrow again. “Should there be something else I should be doing with my time here?” Jack asked, smiling faintly.

Slowly raises eyebrow as he turns in his seat, laptop at his desk.
Closes her laptop. “Hi dad. Whatcha up to?”
“Researching mostly.” he replied as he looked down at his laptop. “New piece I’m working on for the Metro Art Museum…”
