“You’re not.” Jack said, turning to look down at her, expression one of confusion and hurt emotions. “Y-you could just tell me. But you ch-choose to let it happen. You c-could tell me b-but you’re not. I don’t-don’t know. You d-do what you want, K-Katelynn. I’m just your fi-fiance. Why s-should I know wh-where you g-go at night a-and why y-you stay out a-a-all night?” chest rising and falling as his face began to stain purple. “I-I’m sorry i-if I’m making you f-feel bad but I-I have to express my f-feelings too, c-can’t I?” he asks.

“I-I’ll just stay here a-a-and wait. It’s a-all I do.” he said before turning and walking out of the room, needing to just make something to drink. Something hot. Tea. Calming tea. He needed that.

She groaned, putting her hands up in her hair again, tangling up into it and unsure of what to do. She couldn’t stay here, she couldn’t keep hurting him this way and she needed to talk to Six anyway, to make him understand.

Getting up off the bed, she grabbed her coat and headed for the door but not without telling him as she opened it, “Of course you can express yourself with me Jack. You know this. You can tell me anything you want..! Thoughts, feelings; whatever you want! Just..let me just..ask Six if it’s okay..it’s his story..his past..I just..I don’t know..I’m going to go talk to him though. I’ll be back later.”

Walking out the door, she shut it, heading off to look for Six, nibbling on her bottom lip as she did.

He had just been about to answer her but she’d just walked right out the door. Jack stood there, hand reaching out after her before the stupid tears started in his eyes. His hands shook as he looked down at the floor, before grabbing the nearest plate and let it fall to the floor.

It broke, of course.

But he just stared down at it, tears still streaking down his face. Why did she need permission to talk to him? It wasn’t fair.

Sighing, he kneels, and begins to pick up the pieces.
