*it took almost fifteen minutes for jack to return to her, mumbling something about eating something or having stomach ache. never would he admit to what was really going on because good GOD no. he smiles down at her and Roxy* s-sorry for taking so long.

*he eases into the beanbag chair besides her* so you’ve never seen this one?

She shook her head from her position on the beanbag chair, Roxy laying down in her lap as she continued to pet her. She had hardly noticed the passing of time because she was too busy playing with the tiny pug.

“Nope, but by what I read from the summary it sounds pretty interesting. And it’s a nice little spin on the Romeo and Juliet romance.”

mmm, it, it is. *so he presses play and settles besides her, feeling at ease with her being so close. wow, they had grown fairly close this past week hadn’t they? messages, phone calls, her… straddling… him just then. but all of it was fairly innocent wasn’t it? what would she do if he put his arm around her? freak out? he dare not try to find out… well… maybe? no. no. not now. as the movie begins he adds in, quietly* s-so you’ll be coming with me on the 22nd to my gallery debut…? *he decided to make light of it, and nudged her playfully* as my date?

*he instantly rolled over onto his stomach when the blanket was removed from him. why? you can probably guess why. he was a healthy man after all and suddenly finding the woman he was more or less 100% fancying bent over him like that had caused a natural response. but not one to do in polite company* a-ahh… right, right! let me just. i have to. toilet! yes.

*he gets up, keeping his back to her as he grabs one of the movies and holds it out to her* p-put this one in and i’ll be right back okay!

*and he’s gone, leaving her ‘letters to juliet’ in her hands*

She looked down at the movie in her hands and back up to see him leave so soon. “Um..I’m sorry Jack! You should have told me you had to go to the bathroom!” She called out to him, walking over to the DVD player and working the movie into it, getting it ready for his return as she straightens up the huge beanbag chair and blanket, setting the veggie tray on his side.

Everything set up, Katelynn sat down and called Roxy to her, cuddling and petting her, cooing at her inbetween.

*ohgodohgodohgod. jack was doing his best to control himself. he’d never had a girl over him like this before in his entire life, unless he counted the grade school girl who would make him eat dirt. but that didn’t count. he stared up at her, face a mix of confusement, excitement, fear, and uncertainty. his heart was thumping within his chest so fast he feared it might burst through. she was so close. so close unlike she’s been before*

..s-sounds… t-terrifying and t-t-terrific…?

Reaching up, Katelynn ran her hands through her hair to part it back and smile at him. “Oh it is. Pretty scary movie. It’s scary without gore, just how I like them. But don’t worry, I’ll be there with you so you won’t get too scared.”

She hardly moved from her position on top of him, looking up at his movie collection. “But we should get that movie going before it gets too late,” she giggled, sliding off of him and collecting the blanket along the way.

*he yelped and fell against her easily, face flushing purple all over* ah! sorry, sorry sorry…! *he pulled back slowly, not too quickly but still. jack smiled as he managed to unwind himself, looking at her* really? n-nothing too scary i hope?

She tried to calm her racing heart, moving back slightly to get on all fours, shaking her hair until it covered her face, beginning to move forward, her body moving as if contorting. “O-Only if you’re afraid of women with…long hair…” She reached a hand toward him, trying to be as creepy as possible. “…and pale skin who want to be all over you…~”

*he had stared at her blankly for a while and then she was doing this… weird thing with her hair, and her hand reaching out to him and he had to go ‘ah!’ and move away, unsure what she was doing. was this from a movie?* a-ahh… a-all over me in what way…?

*Roxy by now was snuffling around the blanket, and trying to wriggle under it but was unable to do so. instead, she barked at it*

my secret… i’ve never watched a horror movie in my life…! alas i know, it’s horrible…!

She relented, sitting back on her hunches and giggling, helping him get out of the blanket. “Really? Well how about we watch one at my apartment sometime in exchange for watching a romance tonight?”

The blanket was proving to be a bit difficult to get out of and she lowered the portion covering his face, trying to figure out how to unwrap him. She tried lifting a lower portion and tried tugging on it.

*jack was grateful of the blanket; it was slightly shielding his face which no doubt would be purple as anything right now. in a sense, she was hugging him. hugging him. her arms around him, her body so close to his despite the blanket and he was aware in the distance, Roxy was barking, excited by the silliness happening. jack shook his head, trying not to laugh* a-a secret? no, no i dare not betray the house of maple…!

She was having so much fun! She knew Jack was fun before but this was a whole new level. No one had ever been silly with her before.

“Oh but the House of Foster wishes to know! Talk, handsome sir, or be swallowed up into the abyss~”

She was tempted to begin tickling him, her fingers pressing through the blanket and moving against him slightly.

*her answer to the silent question as to whether or not he was ticklish was answered with a high pitched squeak, and jack laughed after wards* aa-ahh! n-no no don’t do that! oh god no i’m so t-ticklish-AH! okay okay i’ll tell you a secret!

Laughing now, she wrapped her arms around him to trap him, trying not to put too much of her weight on him. “Maybe I’ll give you mercy if you reveal your secrets to me~” She was merely teasing him, thinking he’d probably make a fake secret to joke back.

h-hey its ok, it was an accident! i’m sure you didn’t want to squash me with a beanbag on purpose…! unless that’s you plan all along…?

*he gives he a teasing grin*

Reassured, she smiled, glad he wasn’t mad. She had made enough people mad in her past.

She giggled a bit, deciding to tease back as she tried to lift the blanket up and wrap him in it. “The beanbag was only the beginning! Now you face the wrath of the blanket which will swallow you up!”

*he laughed and brought his arms into himself, placing them together* o-oh god no, please not… not the blanket…! *he begged, dramatically, falling to his knees and gripped at the blanket, pulling it into himself* oh please, have mercy oh mighty katelynn, mercy!

Katelynn had gasped when she realized what she did, trying to help him. “Oh Jack I’m sorry. I thought I was….” She turned seeing how off the mark she was. “…over there…”

She quickly began to gather the stuff back up, completely embarrassed and feeling sort of bad. God I hope he didn’t think that was on purpose. But he laughed so I guess I didn’t mess up too bad?

a romance? s-sure…! why not let… let me find something good then…! you know where the bean bag and blankets are, right? *he makes his way over to the closet full of dvds to make a selection*

She walked over to where she remembered the beanbag was and pulled it out, wrapping the blanket on top of her, completely overloaded and unable to see. She looked down at her feet to make sure not to trip and when she thought she was in  front of the television, she dropped everything, not even realizing she had actually dumped it all on top of Jack.
