she’s all muscle when she wants to be. *he laughs slightly and his hand closes around hers in the cool air, feeling the warmth from hers rush to his skinny hand. god he hopes he isn’t a grape at this* Roxy try to behave…

*the little pug just keeps rushing ahead, feet moving alarmingly quick over the ground*

Katelynn turned back to look at Jack, noticing his skin tone and laughing a bit. “Maybe this is a good thing! She’s rushing us home so we’ll get warm!” And she gently squeezed his hand for good measure, hoping to warm the purple off his face.

“I love the snow but I can’t wait for warmer weather so we’re not always freezing when we’re together outside!”

*he had the mental picture of them snuggling for warmth flash through his head. like on the bean bag. his arms around her, and her head resting on his shoulder like when she fell asleep on his birthday. that made his face turn a deeper shade of purple but he pushed it away, hopefully*

t-the only problem with spring for me is the bees. i don’t trust them at all.

*funny to see a little black pug could so easily pull and tug katelynn along. jack has to laugh as he follows after them at a quicker pace* hah! i wonder who’s talking who now? *he can’t help but smile at this; her walking his dog? him carrying her things? this felt so wonderful, for however simple it was*

She laughed, trying to reign in the overexcited dog and managing a bit, taking a hold of Jack’s hand so she could get the extra support. “She’s really strong for someone so small and I’m not hard to tug along!”

She was a bit underweight after all but not enough that it showed on her face.

tell you what let’s swap. you take Roxy, i’ll take the bag… *they fidget for a bit but it isn’t too long that he’s carrying the bag, and katelynn is holding the leash of the little dog* hold onto her tight, she likes to rush ahead at times…

No sooner had he said that then Roxy decided to tug on her, seeing her opportunity to run when someone as weak looking as Katelynn had a hold of her.

“Whoa!” Katelynn shouted, using both of her hands to hold her steady but being launched forward at times, jogging to keep up with her. “Roxy!”

Despite it all she couldn’t help but let out a laugh.

*he smiled, and nodded* yeah, let. let’s go! it’s really starting to snow out again, and i don’t want to, to end up slipping or anything.

*once she joins him he lets the door slip shut and walks with he back down the street, before he holds an arm out to her* h-here. let me take a bag for you. it’s not fair you carrying everything…!

She brought the bag up curiously, looking at it in wide-eyed wonder. “It’s not really all that heavy though…” she replies, walking beside him closely. “Plus I think Roxy is enough of a struggle for you. Would you like some help with her?”

Collecting her grocery bag, she stood up from her seat in a fluid motion. She moved closer to him and shook her head. “No, not too long. So are we going back to your apartment then?”

She was beginning to notice the stares a bit and mostly thought they were because of her, causing her to blush a bit.

*jack took his time, and once again he had to rescue Roxy from getting into a fight she was too small for. the pug had barked at a doberman, who had growled back, only furthering to anger the little dog. he had scooped her up, apologized to he owner (a pretty blond woman) and hurried along*

Roxy you’re going to get daddy in so much trouble one day…

*he settles her back down and walks up to the cafe and glances around. was she here yet? jack had his back to the glass, unaware she had stepped inside. Roxy, meanwhile, was pressing her flat face against the glass, panting and making it fog up*

Her phone, a rather boring regular little gray machine, provided little entertainment so she snapped it closed and looked up to see someone leaning against the glass.

Jack? He was rather easy to distinguish. Especially when she noticed the cutie near the glass panting herself silly.

She leaned forward to tap the glass and get his attention, waving at him, a huge smile plastered on her face.
