He was right, of course he was. He knew more about relationships than she did, having watched all those romance movies. She closed her eyes, feeling so ashamed still. One minute she was being angry with him and the next she was the one feeling scared.
She just couldn’t be mad at him especially when he didn’t deserve it.
“B-Back..well..I guess last night..you said you were all I knew..in..love making..” Her voice shakes; her whole body trembles in fact. Just tell him. It was in the past but it’s a secret you’ve been keeping. It’ll show how much you trust him. “…but the t-truth is…someone had…when I was 15…f-forced themselves on me..”
She closed her eyes, awaiting his judgment.
For a moment it seemed as though Jack wasn’t going to do anything. His arms kept their close hold on her, hands against her back, but with her head resting against his chest she felt his heart rate suddenly speed up. Then, his hands pressed tighter against her back and he pulled her in close to him, before resting a hand and lost it in her hair as he bent his head forward, pressing his cheek to her forehead.
“I’m so sorry.” he whispered quietly. “I’m so sorry that happened… I… I don’t know what I can say or do to help you through that besides all that I’ve done but…” Jack opens his eyes, tears streaking down his face as he talks, “But we are our firsts, Katelynn.. th-that what happened to you wasn’t making love. It wasn’t… it wasn’t because of your feelings or your heart. What we… what we’ve done is making love and it’s v-very different…” he just hoped this made any kind of sense to her.
To think, his girlfriend had been keeping this secret for how long? It wasn’t exactly something you brought up in conversation though, was it? So he could barely blame her for keeping quiet. His legs, slowly, begin to give on him and he slowly sinks to the floor, taking her with him, his arms still around her, until they’re kneeling on the floor, his arms still around her.
“But I’m here now, K-Katelynn. I’m not going to l-leave you because of this, if, if that’s what you’re afraid of…”
