Meeting Jack (II)

It’s hard to miss Jack on a good day. No matter how much black he wears he does tend to stand out with his blue skin. Today he’s in his usual turtle neck, jacket, jeans, gloves and hat combination. He pushed the door open of the cafe, and looked around.

What did Grace even look like? He didn’t even know…

Grace had come to this meeting wearing a pink jumper and and jeans, along with a red coat. When she spotted the blue man on the door, she had no doubts about who he was.

“Jack! Over here!”, she called out, waving at him.

He spotted the woman and smiles faintly; trying to be brave, and walks over to her, adjusting his backpack as he does.

“H-hello…! You m-must be Grace..! O-or do you prefer Gracelyn..? Miss. Jones? I.. I don’t… know..” oh yes, off to a grand start indeed. He steeled his jaw and held his hand out. “I-it’s nice to meet you.”

Meeting Jack (I)

After a couple of texts she had exchanged with Jack, Katelynn’s boyfriend, Grace wanted to meet Jack. Not only because Katelynn wanted her to meet her boyfriend, also because she wanted to know what kind of man, or alien, Jack was. Once she could study him a little, she could find the perfect kind of cake for him. And with this, she would be able to teach Katelynn to bake the perfect cake for her Valentines Day.

But now, it’s time to focus in the present. Grace awaits him in the ‘Tijuana’, a Mexican restaurant with a little café attached -something perfect for their meeting.
