Pregnancy Scare!

will-never-be-a-swan:

Katelynn moaned softly, awaking from her wonderful dream as she stretched out softly and opened her eyes. She had been so warm and comfortable, she didn’t want to get up.

She felt arms tighten around her and froze, growing a bit terrified. Who was in her bed?

But when she noticed they were blue arms, she sighed, relieved. Last night came rushing back to her and she blushed deeply, letting out a content sigh.

What a romantic night.

Gently lifting his arms so he wouldn’t wake up, Katelynn kissed his forehead, gazing at him lovingly before crawling out of bed, intent on getting things done. How she wanted to just stay in his arms all morning but she had work to do. She had to do errands and get to work, now that they knew she was healthy again. It was going to be her first day back.

She went off to take her shower, being as quick as possible and got ready to greet the day in a nice little button up shirt and black slacks. She hardly wore pants but she felt she should dress formally for her return to work. Putting her hair up in a clip, Katelynn did one more look over before she remembered.

It was the same time to take her pill. 24 hours had passed.

Pulling it out of her medicine cabinet where she kept allergy medicine and headache medicine, Katelynn made a grab for her birth control pills, about to to open it up to the next day when she noticed some writing on the side, all the medicinal facts. But one fact stood out more than the others.

When starting birth control pills, it will usually take 7 days for the pill to become effective at preventing pregnancy.

She did a double take, then read the directions and warning label again.

7 days? Oh god! She hadn’t even bothered to read it and the women hadn’t told her this. Why hadn’t the women at Planned Pregnancy told her this?

She faltered, leaning back against the counter and suddenly remembering that Jack had let himself go inside of her. What if she got pregnant? She wasn’t ready for a child. She hardly made enough to support herself let alone a baby. Jack and her weren’t even married! Their relationship was still so brand new! Would this rip them apart?

Her head swam and before she knew it she dropped the box and rushed out of the bathroom, making a grab for her purse and keys, heading out the door and locking it. She wasn’t sure what she was going to do and it was definitely too soon to tell with a home pregnancy test so her nerves were shot.

Oh she was scared. She was very scared and worried. She prayed she wasn’t pregnant and knew it was going to distract her all day. She wouldn’t be able to tell for a few days.

Please..don’t let me get pregnant. I know I’m not ready to get pregnant. Please don’t let me be..!

If she was, how was Jack going to take it?
