Opening the door to their place, Katelynn tried carrying Gail the best she could in her car seat, still feeling a bit weak from childbirth so not really carrying much else. Looking back at Jack, she watching him carry the rest, feeling slightly guilty she wasn’t helping.

“Do you have it all, love?” she whispered, not wanting to be too loud or risk waking the baby. She had finally gotten her to sleep after a tiresome night, still having trouble getting Gail to latch to her breast at times.
