“You sure? I know how much you l-like your sweet things.” Jack said quietly, looking at the store again, still wishing it wasn’t so gosh darn pink. You just couldn’t keep your man card if you walked in there, even with a woman on your arm. And Jack was barely holding onto his man card as it was.
At the suggestion of the photo booth though, he glanced around, hoping to spot one. They always had those sorts of thing down here, right? …least he hoped so. He’d never come here before.
“I don’t think you want to deal with a hyper blue woman,” she giggled, pressing a hand to her mouth and continuing onward. “Then I really be like Mr. Megamind, hyper and all over the place. It’s fine. Maybe on the way home.”
People were mostly crowding around a little tavern on the right, drunken men stumbling out of it but Katelynn’s eyes were busy looking around for the photo booth as well, wishing to take some cute, silly pictures with Jack to remember today.
It was already starting to feel like a real date, something they hardly did considering her past experiences with villains keeping her busy and in trouble.
“I think there’s a place we can take a picture over there,” Katelynn pointed to a red box with a blue curtain, seeing a few of the drunks near it taking photo’s and laughing. “We can..just wait until they’re done I guess..”
Jack eyed the drunken men and pulled Katelynn away from their general area. No, he wasn’t going to risk even going near them if they were drunk. He himself had never been drunk in his life but he knew what it did to people, and if they caught sight of Katelynn with her blue skin who knew what their reaction would be.
“We’ll go for a-another walk around and come back later.” Jack said to her quietly before leading her away, now mumbling more to himself. “Drunks…”
They kept going along the pier until Jack brought them to a stop by the edge, by a street lamp, and looked over at the dark water below. He watched it for a while before asking.
“Do you know how to swim?"
