“A-again, Katelynn, where is this going to happen? Do we have any plans? Do you know h-how far in advance most places book for weddings?” he asked, still standing in the door way, stomach suddenly feeling like with ad a heavy lead weight in it. It was one thing to be engaged, but to have your fiancée suddenly announce she wants to be married the next month? It was crazy!

She looked back up into his eyes, feeling a bit small. “I-I thought..we could have it in the forest..somewhere secluded…the outskirts of the city..”

“It, it would still be somebody’s property that we would need clearance to use… and we-we’d need to find a place to hire furniture from, find a priest, somebody to handle the music, the food, the location of the party afterwards and… oh…” Jack moved to the table and chairs in the kitchen and sat down in one of the chairs, hand to his head. “This… this is a lot to think about…”

April!?” Jack yelped, falling over and landing on the ground with a thump. He quickly stood up and went through to the kitchen, still in just his underwear and shirt. “K-Katelynn you must be joking! We c-can’t plan an entire wedding and venue and catering and a place to have the reception in a-a few weeks!”

She stood there with his mug in hand ready to serve, watching him without blinking because no matter how many times she looked at him he was still sexy when he lacked clothes.

No no more important things right now..

She cleared her throat, ducking her head. “How big do you think the wedding is going to be? We can get it all done in a month..the cherry blossoms come and go very quickly so the beginning of April…I thought it would be beautiful..”

Yet her eyes remained glued to his sexy legs as she stood there blushing.

He stood there for a moment before rolling his eyes.

“S-sweetie, remember why we came out here? Wedding plans? I know y-you think we’ve done nothing but work since we got here but this is very important things we’re discussing… we h-haven’t even talked about a date yet…” he removed his jeans entirely before using the blanket she gave him to wipe his wet legs.

“Oh right..um..I was talking to your mom earlier and I thought we could have it in April during the cherry blossom season,” she replied from the kitchen, preparing his cup and grabbing the kettle of nearly hot water.

She poured the water in his mug, making sure not to add sugar just in case since she remembered he didn’t like sweets.

“Any reason t-to get me o-out of my c-clothes, huh?” he asked with a small smile as he worked his shoes off and began unbuttoning his wet jeans and tugging them down his legs.

She blushed darkly but giggled it off, kissing his cheek. “Oh o-of course..you know I like see you naked after all..”

She let that thought simmer in his mind, winking at him as she moved into the kitchen to make him hot chocolate.

“A bit but I, I’m going to go back inside. My jeans are soaking w-wet from the snow…” he admits, looking down at himself. “A-and I really rather not catch cold.”

“Okay,” she replied, staying close to him to keep him warm. “Sorry by the way. I guess I went too far.”

She blushed, opening the door and rushing off to get him a blanket, draping it over him. “Change out of your clothes and I’ll make you some hot chocolate?”

“My hands are really cold too.” Jack pointed out, and held them up. They were purple; he wasn’t wearing gloves like her, after all, and had been handling cold snow in them.

“Aww sweetie I’m sorry..” she whispered, taking a hold of his in her gloves hands and blowing warm air onto them, rubbing them gently. She even tried touching them against her warm, flushed cheeks, hoping that would help.

“Better?”

“Oh God that is cold!” Jack squeaked since, unlike Katelynn, he wasn’t wearing a jumper or a jacket. He was in a shirt and jeans. He shivered and backed away, patting at the cold snow clinging to his chest. “Eeeeeeeeeee..”

She moved forward and wrapped her arms around him, laughter dying down to giggles, holding him close. “Don’t worry, I’m kind..I’ll go ahead and keep you warm.”

She could feel the cold against herself despite wearing her jacket but she kissed his jaw. “And now it just seems I won too since I have you in my clutches.”

Jack had given up on the fort, grabbed a few snowballs, and had suddenly ran behind her and the snowman. She’d been so focused on plotting a course she hadn’t seen him. He threw a few at her, some missing since his aim was awful.

“Love and war, hand in hand!” he declared.

She laughed, shrieking out when he copied her plans and tried to cover her head though a snowball managed to clip her on the shoulder instead.

“Oh yeah?” she cried, grabbing some snow and leaning up to gently smash it against his chest. “Take this!” She kept laughing, hoping to overpower him.

“Your snowman can’t save you now!” Jack called back, tossing one of the snowballs, and it smacked the snowman right up the head. “Y-you gotta know how to prepare yourself for battle in war!” he declared as he picked up another and threw it.

“I just didn’t expect such betrayal!” she cried, ducking down as the snow rained down around her. “Or have you lured me into a false sense of security?”

She peeked around the snowman to get a better look of where he was, tossing one quickly and watching it hit the wall of the fort. Hmmm I have to get to where he is somehow without him seeing me..I’ll have to be fast…
