“Oh honey I don’t think we will. We’re due to visit family in the next state over in a few days so we’re really just here long enough to refuel and see the two of you.” Bonnie sad sadly. “But next time we’re in town we’ll most definitely take our time more for you both! It’s just a busy time of year, isn’t it?”
She nodded, completely understanding. “Yeah, the holidays were crazy this year for everyone. Too bad you can’t stay. But I’ll be happy to prepare something for you to eat when you come back? When I learn to cook I mean.” She grinned, wincing a bit.
“That’d be wonderful!” Bonnie laughed, clapping her hands together. “We can’t wait!”
