Ringing in the New Year

He’s trying to position himself as best he can, he honestly, truly is. He’s standing over her, his legs spread and bending against the chair, gently brushing against her legs while his feet dug down against the ground. He wishes he could pull her into his lap, or that he could sit on hers but that’s impossible. It’s unfair to her. Unfair to both of them.

Suddenly she’s touching his neck and he moans. The warmth of her hands, the feel of her fingers tracing against the shape of his sensitive neck just makes him writhe over her.  He pushes his mouth desperately close to hers but he has to break it, he has to breathe or he’ll pass out but his mouth trails down her jawline to her neck, where he sucks against it, captured like a fly in a spiders web by the allure of her love, her affection, her body.

One of his hands brushes up, hoping to move to gently grasp her other shoulder but his palm brushes her left breast.

She sucks in a breath, shivering slightly, a blush creeping along her cheek, but she doesn’t let him pull back. Her fingers follow his neck as he moves down along her neck, her eyes closing at the sensation, so loving and yet so alluring.

And when his finger brushes there, an area no one had ever touched, not even back then, she feels herself buck a bit, a light moan springing forth from her mouth.

She’s lost in the heat, lost in him, one hand crawling from up his neck to the underside of his skull, fingers caressing the skin. She found it strange how she wasn’t afraid of this desire, relishing in it instead.

Love had definitely caused a change in her.

“I love you so much.” Jack whispers against her neck, eyes shut tightly. “I. I just don’t have any other way to say it.” he tries to put words to it, as his hand, shaking as anything, presses against her chest and feels the shape of her breast through the layers she’s been wrapped in. She feels beautiful. She feels amazing.

His other hand rests against her side, feeling her warmth, and he opens his eyes as he kisses along her chin until he finds her mouth again, already waiting for him as he kisses her. Jack can’t explain where this bravery came from. His lantern, already? Surely not. But wherever it came from he welcomes it so much.
