Out of the Hospital!

“Very busy. But I managed to find somebody willing to help us!” Jack said enthusiastically as he rubbed her shoulder. God. He loved touching her. Was it because of what transpired between them on New Years? Surely not, he had already loved touching her, holding her hand, and she looks so beautiful. So say it. “You look b-beautiful today,” he complimented. “I haven’t seen you with your hair up like this…”

The nurse couldn’t help but smile at this. Just looking at how they were acting around one another told her they deeply adored one another. It wasn’t something you ran into a lot, even here in a hospital. “So you are good for getting her back to your apartment from here?” she asked Jack.

“Oh yes. I have a taxi waiting outside. W-with wheelchair access.” Jack said.

She blushed at his compliment, her hand reaching up to self consciously touch her hair. If she knew it pleased him so she would have done it sooner.

As it is she grabs onto the wheels of her chair and tries to propel herself forward. “S-So let’s go then! I’m so ready to be out of here. No offense,” she says to the nurse and giggles.

“None taken hon.” the nurse replies on a smile before Jack follows after her, pressing a hand to the back of the wheelchair just to ensure she doesn’t to propelling in the wrong direction.

He laughed. “A-all right! Let’s go, let’s go… I don’t know about you but I never want to be in a hospital again.” Jack smiles as he calls the elevator and it’s not a few minutes until Katelynn is being pushed into the back of the taxi that has the wheelchair ramp and accessories. Jack climbs in after her. “So, wondering who I got to help us?”
