He gasped as she had spoken louder than he thought she would. Jack looked after her, before hurrying behind her, eyes wide.

“Katelynn a-are you all right? Are you mad? D-did I do something wrong?” he asked.

She stopped a bit, feeling extremely guilty. Her weird behavior was affecting him and that just didn’t sit well with her. She looked over at him and gave him a small smile. “I’m not mad, love..j-just uh…h-hungry..yeah..Sorry..”

Which she was and wondered if that was causing her weird mood. Though the memory of a hand down his arm and the way Sally had looked at him made her stomach twist again. She continued walking. “S-So where should we go buy..the veggies and fruits..?”

Or was it the baby…? If there was one. The pamphlets had said mood swings, and she was certainly going through some. Jack stood there, awkwardly, before walking up to her and took her hand into his. “I, I know a few other stalls so–”

“Jack!” he yelped as arms suddenly wrapped around him from behind, and he turned to find Sally there. “You weren’t trying to go to one of our competitors, were you?” she asked, hands now settled on the taller man’s shoulders.

“S-Sally I told you… I don’t do that… y-you can let me go now.”
