Man of his dreams

will-never-be-a-swan:

wrapped-in-shadows:

“Oh…” Jack said.

Meeting up with him, now, felt even more awkward. He didn’t rightly believe in these magical anons, not over things like feelings. What if it had all just been a lie, to get close to Katelynn? What if he really did just want to steal her away all the while pretending to be into men?

There were so many possible liars around. He knew that more than anyone.

“Well. I. I still would like to get to know him too… I mean he is the hero of this city and… and all…” he trailed off and looked at his leg.

Her face brightened at this information, hope lighting up in her chest and curling a warmth around her heart. “Really?” she asked, putting both of her palms on his cheeks and looking into his eyes. “You want to try to be his friend?”

If he agreed…She dared hope a friendship would bloom.

“Well. For your sake, m… more than my own. I don’t want to not be friends with any of yours… well. Um. Besides… besides the villains. I’m sorry I… can’t be friends with people like that…” he stammered, looking down at his hands.
