“We can go right now.” he says, “Let’s be spontaneous. I know what bus we can take, and I can afford the tickets. We can pack, leave Roxy with Minion, and we’ll be gone in a few hours.” Jack pulls back, a rare look of courage shining in his eyes. He smiles. “All right?”

She nodded excitedly, bouncing up and down in joy. “Yay a trip! A wonderful spontaneous trip!” She had never really vacationed before, her parent’s always working or arguing. She hadn’t been brave enough to do it on her own either and now she was going with her boyfriend.

Life seriously couldn’t get any better.

“I’ll help pay for the tickets though, okay? You shouldn’t shoulder the entire cost, love.”

He laughs and suddenly grabs he waist and actually lifts her up into the air, spinning half of a full circle with her, before setting her down. “Oh what fun!” Jack proclaims and nods his head, “Yes, all right sweetie yes. You can do that. But everything else is me, all right?” he asks, before leaning in and presses his lips to hers softly.

Days ago thoughts of his family home had brought him nothing but tears. Now, though, thinking of going there with Katelynn… oh. It would be wonderful.

Jack smiles, before leaning in and nuzzles at her temple with his lips. “Plus then I get to just hold you.” he adds.

Her heart flips in her chest at the romantic words, her face flushed and stomach knotting in a good way. “Y-Yeah. T-That’s what I meant earlier..so I guess we better go buy our tickets after we go pack?”

She was so excited she really just wanted to pack up and go. She could tell her boss at work that she was going to go shoot something and turn it in, that way she wouldn’t go MIA at work. But then again.. “Unless you have to get some work done first and want to plan it for later..?”
